Arsenal fans in the Transfer Tavern are hoping that they face no further injury concerns before the January window reopens, where they are desperate for their side to complete some huge pieces of business.
Their hopes have been aided by the latest reports today, with The Sun stating Arsenal are preparing a £22m bid to bring Porto star Ruben Neves to North London.
The absence of Francis Coquelin for the next three months has handed Arsenal a major problem in their title chase, which led to a number of top-names being targeted, but 18-year-old Neves is now stated to be the candidate Arsenal are pursuing.
Neves, who became the youngest captain in Champions League history earlier this season, would provide an immediate boost to Arsenal’s squad as well as huge potential for the future.
Arsenal’s bid is stated to be broken down into two payments, with £10m up-front and £12m to follow later.
