Arsenal prepare second striker bid after £28.8m offer is rejected

Icardi.jpgArsenal fans taking advantage of our cocktail offers in the Transfer Tavern are discussing interest reports from Italy, that concern a move for a top-quality striker.

Gazzetta Dello Sport states that Arsenal have seen a £28.8m offer for Inter Milan captain Mauro Icardi rejected but that the Gunners are readying another swoop to secure their man.

Icardi has struggled this season under Roberto Mancini’s new formation and with the San Siro side firing on all cylinders in their bid to land the Serie A title, they may be open to parting ways with the 22-year-old for the right price.

Arsene Wenger is said to be desperate to land the talented Argentine but may wait until the end of the season to lodge a second bid, with a deal in January being highly unlikely to be agreed.

Arsenal are well within the fight for the Premier League title, currently sat second, but their fans believe new signings are required to provide a boost. However, a striker doesn’t currently top their agenda.

Gooners, would Icardi be the world-class striker you crave? Let us know in the comments below!
