Arsenal pressing ahead with move for 24-year-old Greece international

Manolas.jpgPremier League giants Arsenal are preparing a summer move for Greek defender Kostas Manolas, according to The Mirror.

Arsenal have identified the Roma player as the man to bolster a sometimes lackluster defensive unit, with the reports exciting the Gunners faithful who are present here in the Transfer Tavern.

Arsenal will face stiff competition for the signature of the 24-year-old however with London rivals Chelsea also keen to make a move for the player.

It is unsure at this stage just how much the defender would cost, with the valuation of the player rocketing after an impressive campaign in Serie A, where he has been a regular in the first-team.

One Arsenal supporter is sat discussing the latest news stories with the landlord and he thinks this move will be a good one for the Gunners, stating that shutting up shop at the back is integral to a team that wants to win trophies.

Arsenal fans, would you welcome Manolas? Can he improve the side? Who would he replace at the back?
