Many of them are hoping for Karim Benzema, Cristiano Ronaldo or maybe even former rival Gareth Bale.
But according to The Telegraph, they will have to settle for striker Alvaro Morata.
Morata has been catching the eye of Arsene Wenger and the Arsenal scouts for some time now.
And it is believed the Gunners have now made an enquiry over the 21-year-old’s availability this summer.
Real Madrid are happy for Morata to move to the Premier League this summer but they are insisting a buy-back-clause is included in the deal should he become a future star.
That’s proving to be a stumbling block for Arsenal. After all, they know full well how beneficial it can be having put a relatively cheap clause in Carlos Vela’s contract before he made a name for himself at Real Sociedad.
Tottenham have also been interested in the Spanish youngster but it’s thought he wants to continue playing with a club that can offer Champions League football.
Juventus are also interested but want Morata on loan rather than on a permanent deal – something that could end up suiting both clubs’ needs.
Arsenal fans. Should you sign Morata regardless of the clause Real Madrid want to put in the contract or should you break the bank for Karim Benzema instead? Let us know your thoughts below.
