The Express reports that Juventus are prepared to sell attacking full back Stephan Lichtsteiner to Arsenal for £12 million this summer.
This stance is in order for the Old Lady to raise funds to sign Ajax midfielder Christian Eriksen who has also been targeted by Liverpool and Tottenham.
Earlier reports in the tavern have suggested the versatile Swiss defender, who can also feature on the right wing, was a target for Gunners with Arsene Wenger looking for another right back to add competition for Bacary Sagna and youngster Carl Jenkinson.
According to these latest suggestions Arsenal may be ready to revive their interest in the 29-year-old who would certainly add experience with over 300 professional appearances while also collecting 56 caps for Switzerland since his international debut in 2005.
Juventus have reportedly already found a replacement full back in the form of Feyenoord’s Daryl Janmaat and the Bianconeri are ready to bid £7.5 million to land the Dutch international which could see Lichtsteiner leaving for the Emirates Stadium.
This news also means that Juventus have joined the race for Ajax 21-year-old star Christian Eriksen as they look to free up funds for the Danish star who is wanted by clubs throughout Europe.
Spurs were thought to be leading the race for the attacking midfielder after he declared his love for the White Hart Lane club but these new reports indicate that the Serie A champions believe they now stand a realistic chance.
