Jamie Sanderson from Metro – a regular visitor to the tavern – now suggests that Arsenal could make a new swoop for Chelsea striker Demba Ba in January.
Gunners boss Arsene Wenger tried to bring in Blues hitman Ba over the summer, but Jose Mourinho blocked a deal at the last minute.
However, despite Olivier Giroud’s impressive form this season and Nicklas Bendtner’s return to fitness, Wenger still wants to add to his few striking options.
And with Ba previously admitting that he is keen on a move to the Emirates Stadium, Arsenal are ready to resurrect a deal in the New Year.
It’s thought that a loan deal until the end of the season with a view to a £5 million permanent transfer next summer is on the cards.
The 28-year-old, who is also wanted by Roma and Atletico Madrid, has made just one Premier League appearance for Chelsea this season.
Ba was chased by Arsenal during his time at Newcastle United before opting to join Chelsea last January.
