Arsenal supporters are still on cloud nine after watching their side’s impressive FA Cup victory over Everton yesterday.
Mesut Ozil, Mikel Arteta and Olivier Giroud all helped to dump the Toffees out of the cup and open up the prospect of finally landing some silverware.
Now Neil Moxley from the Sunday People is suggesting to punters that Arsenal are planning to meet Loic Remy’s £8 million release clause this summer.
The French international striker has stood out during his loan at Newcastle United this season, hitting 13 goals for Alan Pardew’s side.
And now Moxley tells Gunners that Wenger wants to bring him to the Emirates Stadium.
The Queens Park Rangers man is understood to have a clause in his contract that could see him departing the Loftus Road outfit for £8 million.
Newcastle are desperate to pen him down on a permanent deal but interest from the Emirates Stadium is likely to turn Remy’s head especially with the lure of Champions League football.
QPR, who announced losses of £65.4 million last week, will be selling Remy in the summer and now we await to see if Wenger will call as he seeks additional firepower.
Do you think Remy would be a suitable striking solution for the Gunners? Let us know your thoughts below.
