This has come as a huge relief for the Arsenal fans in the Transfer Tavern…
Arsenal have had a mixed spell over the Christmas period, and whilst they looked close to picking Chelsea at the top of the table a few weeks ago – the Gunners now find themselves in 4th place in the Premier League.
All is not lost, however, and with just 3 points separating them from 2nd place – every single game is vitally important for Arsene Wenger.
It has come as a huge boost to the Arsenal fans in the Transfer Tavern, then, to hear that German defender Shkodran Mustafi is back in the fold – with Arsene Wenger confirming in his pre-match press conference (via the Metro) that the centre-half is ready to play again.
Crystal Palace, who have recently been taken over by Sam Allardyce, are the opponents for the Gunners, and will likely be feeling reinvigorated by the arrival of their new manager – and so Mustafi has returned at an opportune time.
Shkodran Mustafi has been a near constant in the Arsenal first team since his arrival over the summer, barring his spell on the sidelines with injury, and has made an impressive 12 Premier League appearances in that time.
Our landlord is expecting him to get even better as time goes on…
