Arsenal reportedly confident that 23-year-old will be at the Emirates Stadium next season

The Arsenal fans in the Transfer Tavern have been growing increasingly concerned about the future of Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain…

The Englishman enjoyed a mixed spell last season; impressing when given the chance but he was all too often pushed to the bench in favour of Arsenal’s other attacking threats.

This is significant as the Englishman has just one year left on his current deal at the Emirates, leaving many supporters worried that he could look for a move in search of regular first team football.

However, according to the Daily Mail, this doesn’t look like the case – with Arsenal reportedly confident that Oxlade-Chamberlain will be at the Emirates next season. Despite interest from a number of clubs in the Premier League, the Gunners are confident that he will sign a new deal with the club rather than leave.

This will come as a huge boost to the Arsenal fans in the Transfer Tavern, as the winger was very important for Arsenal last season – despite his role as a squad player. Able to play in central midfield, attacking midfield and, surprisingly, as a wing-back – he has proven himself as a real jack of all trades for the Gunners.

His homegrown status has also made him a very popular figure in the pub, with many hoping that he will reach the heights that everyone expected of him a few years ago. At moments last season, he certainly showed signs of that – and it is never too late.
