Arsenal reportedly keen on talented £19.8m-rated midfielder

The Arsenal fans in the Transfer Tavern are concerned that their side is a few steps behind the leaders in the Premier League. The Gunners have, for the most part, struggled to keep pace with some of the English top flight’s more dominate sides this term, with the likes of Man City and Man Utd clearly ahead of their rivals in London.

Clearly, then, if Arsenal are going to catch up, the Gunners have a lot of work to do, and a few major signings could be just what they need. Reports of a potential move for midfielder Jorginho, then, have generated a lot of excitement in the Transfer Tavern. According to Transfer Market Web, the Brazilian is a target for the Gunners, though the publication does note that a move is unlikely to happen in January.

He has enjoyed a stellar season so far, amassing a total of 8 league appearances. Typically playing through the middle, his qualities include passing and tackling, and when combined with his fantastic positioning and concentration, the Brazilian comes into a class of his own.

He’s rated at £19.8 million by Transfer Markt, and so a move won’t be easy for Arsenal to secure, but judging by his performances this term, he’d be worth the investment.

Landlord’s Verdict

Jorginho is clearly a top player, and he’d certainly improve the Gunners’ struggling midfield. They don’t have much depth in the middle-of-the-park, and with the likes of Granit Xhaka and Aaron Ramsey struggling to impress, he’d make an impression.

At 25-years-old, he’s entering his prime, and he’d be worth a sizeable investment if the Gunners can land him. He’s on course for great things.
