The Arsenal fans in the Transfer Tavern are hoping for a few more signings this summer…
The Gunners struggled last term and our landlord thinks that they are going to need more than just Sead Kolasinac and Alexandre Lacazette to return to the top four next season.
Clearly Arsene Wenger feels the same way, with ESPN reporting that the Gunners are considering bolstering out their midfield with a move for Jean Michael Seri this summer. Though they are apparently yet to approach the midfielder, there is a genuine chance that they could make a move before the transfer window slams shut, particularly if his side make him available.
Last season was one to forget for Arsenal, with the Gunners finishing outside of the top four for the first time under Arsene Wenger. Clearly they are a few steps behind their rivals, and so they need to move quickly and efficiently over the next few weeks to close the gap.
They come up against Chelsea this weekend which will be a test of their aspirations for the coming campaign, but it is clear that a few more bodies are needed.
Jean Michael Seri is certainly the type of player that Arsenal need. They lack a combative midfielder with real quality, and that is exactly what Seri would provide.
He is very mobile and he has a real eye for a pass, whilst he is also very efficient at breaking up play and moving the ball forward.
He had a stellar campaign last term and Arsenal would do well to land him this summer.
