Arsenal set for sensational reunion?

fabregas.jpgThere are raised eyebrows here in the Football Transfer Tavern as it is claimed by the Daily Star that Cesc Fabregas may well be looking for a move to former club Arsenal.

The midfielder left the Emirates Stadium in a big money move to boyhood club Barcelona and now after failing to dislodge Andres Iniesta and Xavi in the heart of the Catalan side, the Spanish international is now looking for a move back to Arsenal despite Barcelona being in his heart.

Fabregas would of course be welcomed back to the Emirates with open arms and a return of their former skipper would be something that Arsene Wenger would view as a major coup. Fabregas has lost none of his skill or know-how and despite not enjoying his most fruitful spell personally at Barcelona, there is still no doubting that most sides in the world would benefit from his talents.

A transfer fee of less than Arsenal sold him for would also be more than a welcome factor for the club and given the player has been looking for a £4.5 million flat in North London, a move back could well be on the cards.
