Arsenal set to be taken over by super rich billionaire?

Wenger.jpgArsenal fans here in the Football Transfer Tavern simply cannot believe what they have just read in Metro – with the publication claiming that the richest man in Africa, Aliko Dangote, wants to buy a stake in the Gunners.

The Arsenal supporting billionaire is keen to buy the club and subsequently imprint his own mark on the team, with him admitting he wants to change Arsenal’s style of play.

‘I still hope, one day at the right price, that I’ll buy the team,’ Dangote told Bloomberg Business.

‘I might buy it, not at a ridiculous price but a price that the owners won’t want to resist. I know my strategy.’

Arsenal look well on course to achieve a top four spot in the Premier League this season, and their 3-1 victory over Hull City on Monday night cemented them firmly in a coveted top four position.

Gunners fans over by the pool table in the Football Transfer Tavern feel that this would be massive for the club, but feel the club already have a significant amount of funds at their disposal!
