Arsenal set to fork out £48 million to seal deal for Borussia Dortmund attacker?

Marco Reus Arsenal fans here in the Football Transfer Tavern have perked up after reading the news from Metro – with the publication claiming that Arsenal are ready to fork out £48 million to secure a deal for coveted Borussia Dortmund star Marco Reus.

Reus is undoubtedly on the of the world’s best attacking midfielders and it is no surprise to see Arsene Wenger keep tabs on the situation of the German international, however it remains to be seen whether Dortmund will be willing to let the 26-year-old depart the Signal Iduna Park this summer.

Our landlord here in the Transfer Tavern had his say on this particular matter, “Reus would be a fantastic signing for any club in the Premier League, but i’m wondering where exactly he would fit into the team, as Arsenal already have a plethora of talented midfielders and its hard to see where he will be slotted into the team!”

A rowdy bunch of Gooners playing darts here in the Tavern admit they’d love to see Reus at the Emirates Stadium, but do agree with the words put forward by our landlord, and admit an out-and-out striker is the main priority!
