Arsenal set to move for La Liga forward after Barcelona collapse

NolitoArsenal fans in the Transfer Tavern were hoping for a quiet few drinks away from the craziness of the window but they certainly came to the wrong place, as we’ve got exciting reports coming out of our ears.

Spanish publication Sport state that Arsenal are ready to move for Celta Vigo forward Nolito, following the collapse of the Spaniard’s proposed switch to Catalan giants Barcelona.

Arsenal have been interested in the player since the beginning of the season, when Celta Vigo were flying high at the top of La Liga, but the opposition of Barcelona in the transfer market was a massive problem for the Gunners.

However, with Nolito’s proposed Barcelona deal falling through, Arsenal are emerging back in the market for the Spanish international and will push to complete a deal before the window shuts on Deadline Day.

Our landlord isn’t convinced though, as he believes Arsenal’s interest has likely moved on from Nolito and it would be too difficult to complete a move for him this late in the window.

Arsenal fans, would Nolito help you land the Premier League title? Let us know in the comments below!
