Arsenal supporting punters here in the Transfer Tavern are looking at the latest news from Metro with big smiles on their faces – with the publication suggesting that Arsenal are working on a £22 million deal to lure Real Madrid ace Isco to the Emirates Stadium.
Metro cites reports from Spanish publication Fichajes, with the outlet suggesting that the north London club are willing to pay £22 million to sign the highly-rated attacking midfielder.
Chelsea are a side also interested in the Spain international, so the Gunners will have to fight off competition from Mourinho and co to secure the signing of the 23-year-old.
Our resident Arsenal fans enjoying a pint of the Transfer Tavern’s finest cider, are deliberating this news, and admit although Isco would be one hell of a signing, they wish Wenger would go for Isco’s teammate Karim Benzema instead!
Our landlord somewhat agrees with the Gooners here in the Tavern, but admits that Isco would add another element of depth and quality to Wenger’s attacking options, which could ultimately aid them in their pursuit of the Premier League title.
Arsenal fans….. What do you make of this news? Would Isco be a good signing? Could you imagine him in an Arsenal shirt? Let us know your thoughts and opinions in the comments below!
