Arsenal fans in the Football Transfer Tavern are inspired by the London Evening Standard after they explained how Arsene Wenger is eyeing a cut price deal for Borussia Dortmund’s defender Neven Subotic.
The Gunners have been crying out for another rock solid centre half ever since they sold Thomas Vermaelen to Barcelona last summer.
But Wenger has been tracking the 26-year-old since he tried signing him back in 2009, but it didn’t materialise after they failed to meet his £18m asking price.
Wenger will hope he can lure in the Serbian international after Dortmund’s nightmare season and he will try and convince him the grass is greener in North London.
But Jurgen Klopp has managed to turn things around recently and the Dortmund boss may be hoping he can keep his current squad together after they have stuck together through thick and thin.
Arsenal and Manchester United fans. Do you think that Neven Subotic would be the leading centre back with Laurent Koscielny? Let us know your thoughts below.
