Some better news in the Football Transfer Tavern this Saturday for the Arsenal faithful, and that is coming in the form of the rumours that Alexandre Lacazette could be on his way out of Lyon and will link up with fellow Frenchman Arsene Wenger at the Gunners.
This is coming from reports in the Daily Mail that are saying despite Lyon manager Hubert Fournier insisting Lacazette will stay, there are strong indications the French International striker would not be able to resist the temptation of working under Arsene Wenger. The Lyon boss himself admitted “For me – he is the best” when describing Wenger.
The 24-year old striker, who has notched up 51 goal in all for his current side, could be exactly what Arsenal need to mount a serious title challenge. Gunners fans will also fancy there chances of this one happening after reports earlier in the week about a ‘200-million’ kitty at the manager’s disposal.
Our landlord here in the Transfer Tavern had his say: “I would love to see this one in thePprem, bags of pace and under Arsene he could be the next Henry!”.
What do you think Gunners fans? Would Lacazette excel at the Emirates? Would he leave Lyon? Let us know below!
