Arsenal Set To Splash The Cash On Inter Starlet?

The transfer rumour mill has been doing the rounds once more and the regular punters at the Transfer Tavern are the first to hear any rumblings from all Europe’s major clubs. One player who is in demand and deemed surplus to requirements is Mario Balotelli of Inter Milan; he has been linked with Arsenal for a sensational sum of £20 million.

Jose Mourinho appears to have lost patience with the young Italians attitude as Balotelli was left out of the Inter squad for the weekends match against Fiorentina, a massive game for both teams. He was apparently late for training on Friday. Jose Mourinho was typically impassive when probed on the reasons for ‘Super Mario’s’ exclusion, “Why should Balotelli sitting in the stands be a problem? When will you see him again? You just have to come to Appiano (Training ground). I don’t know when you will see him again on the pitch. Seeing as the strikers have played so well against Fiorentina, I don’t think it will happen very soon.”

Inter have become fatigued with the attitude Balotelli has show over recent months, and look ready to off load the striker. Inter coach Mourinho has openly criticized the youngster commenting on performances with such quips as “He’ll still make the same mistakes in five years time,” and “His performance was close to zero.” Hardly confidence inducing.

Super Mario is roundly booed at more or less every ground he visits due to this ‘attitude’ and rumour has it he will welcome a move away from such hostilities.

He is supremely talented and at only 19 years of age, Arsene Wenger has reportedly offered £20 million for his services. He sees the Italian as a perfect replacement for the injured Robin van Persie.

As January approaches the future of Mario Balotelli will become ever clearer, and he could be swapping the black and blue of Inter for the red of Arsenal very soon indeed.
