Arsenal are looking for a successful first season under new manager Unai Emery, and at the time of writing were hoping to see off Everton at the Emirates.
The Gunners are all set for a big season without Arsene Wenger at the helm, and a host of summer signings will be hoping to settle in quickly throughout the season and fire the Londoners into the Champions League places.
The January window will also soon be here, with no time to rest for the Premier League’s big names, and there is likely to be both incomings and outgoings for Arsenal over the next few windows.
Indeed, one player we at the Tavern think could well be moved on by Arsenal is young attacker Alex Iwobi, who despite being a key member of the squad, just doesn’t seem to have the right amount of quality needed to really make Arsenal a big player in terms of challenging for trophies.
Iwobi does have the odd game where he puts in a good display and gets his goals, but there is definitely something missing in terms of his all round contribution to the cause.
The Nigerian is a player who has ability and can succeed in the Premier League, however, we just feel that if Arsenal are to improve and keep making strides under Emery, then they might well be best served to sell the young forward, get some cash in, and move on to other targets.
Gunners fans, what do you think? Would you sell Iwobi? Let us know your thoughts in the comments!
