Arsenal are all set for a new dawn at the club under new manager Unai Emery, who will be hoping to have a massive impact on the club he has inherited from Arsene Wenger.
Emery, who has already made some moves in the transfer market this summer, will no doubt be keen to improve on last season for the Gunners and guide them back towards a top four spot and what he will see as their rightful place in the Champions League.
The Gunners squad is already blessed with a depth of attacking talent what makes other teams jealous, but this does not mean that the club should stop looking to invest in attacking areas, and one player we at the Transfer Tavern think would be a superb addition is Bayer Leverkusen youngster Kai Havertz.
The 19-year-old German had a breaking out year last season as he racked up regular first team appearances with a mix of goals and assists, and the £25.2m-rated attacking midfielder will no doubt be being tracked by some of Europe’s biggest clubs.
Havertz is just another player off a long line of German youngster who continue to impress, and it would be of little surprise to see him involved with the German squad for the next European Championships.
The chance to develop at a club like Arsenal though might be a tempting opportunity for the youngster, as well as being afforded the chance to train and play with fellow German star Mesut Ozil.
Quick, good with the ball, and with a keen creative eye, Havertz would represent a superb long term capture for the Gunners.
Arsenal fans, what do you think? Would this be a good signing? Let us know in the comments!
