Arsenal are having a decent season so far in the Premier League despite once again having a less than impressive summer and controversy once again surrounding manager Arsene Wenger.
The Emirates outfit have finally hit some form and in Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Ozil, they have two world class talents who on their day can influence and take control of any game in the top flight.
However, here in the Tavern, our landlord thinks the club need to add some strength in depth up top, and there’s a certain young forward on the books at Ajax he thinks could come in and be a future star for the Gunners. That player? Son of former Holland legend Patrick, Justin Kluivert.
Still only 18-years-old, the youngster already looks to have all the hallmarks of being a top player, and despite not hitting the back of the net this season as yet, the striker has been putting in some impressive displays in his minutes on the field.
It’s not just his fathers reputation what marks him out though, far from it. He has bags of ability and potential of his own, and if he can go on to replicate the success his father did have, then he won’t have done badly at all.
Arsenal have a big reputation of developing top young players and turning them into world class stars, and Kluivert could well be the next in a line of players Wenger chooses to develop and sell on for mega money in the future.
