Arsenal are in for an interesting summer under new manager Unai Emery, as a new dawn descends on the Gunners following the departure of Arsene Wenger.
The Gunners will be hoping their new man in charge can bring Champions League football back to the club, and new signings will be high on the agenda of both the manager, and our fans here in the Transfer Tavern.
Our landlord is still getting used to talking about the Gunners without mentioning Wenger, but he is confident the club can move on and bring some success back to the Emirates.
Despite plenty of big name signings doing the rounds this summer and massive sums being spent, one man who our landlord thinks the Gunners should look to sign is Fulham midfielder Tom Cairney, who was simply superb last season for the Cottagers.
Cairney will no doubt be a key man for Fulham, and they will not want to lose their star midfielder. However, he could well slot in nicely for the Gunners and would surely relish the chance of playing for such a big club and competing at the top end of the Premier League.
The former Hull man has quality on the ball and is capable of scoring from anywhere. He offers lethal dead ball delivery, and given the chance, there is a real belief that he could well perform for one of the Premier League big boys.
Arsenal fans, what do you make of Cairney? Would you take him? Let us know in the comments!
