Arsenal and new manager Unai Emery will be looking to improve on last season and bring Champions League football back to the Emirates after finally parting ways with Arsene Wenger.
The Gunners, who will be hopeful of Emery bringing success to the club, will no doubt be looking to the transfer market this summer to add some new players to the squad and make the most of their new man at the helm.
Here in the Tavern, our landlord thinks the club could do with going out and signing a new striker, and one man who has shot to our landlords mind this week is Dutch striker Bas Dost.
The 28-year-old has been one of the standout performers in Europe over the last few years and once again has been blasting in the goals this term to further enhance his already glowing reputation.
Dost has not yet done it on the international stage, but his size and goals record is something which might well appeal to Emery and the Gunners, who have plenty of pace up top, but not many out and strikers and presences like Dost.
Dost would relish a move to the one of the giants of Europe, and he would be hard pressed to reject any sort of move to the Premier League.
A striker capable of getting the goals and offering a different option to what they have, Dost could be a superb addition for Arsenal.
Gunners fans, what do you think? Good signing? Let us know!
