The Arsenal fans in the Football Transfer Tavern are hoping this won’t effect his mindset ahead of this weekend’s game…
Mesut Ozil has not enjoyed the best of starts to the Premier League season.
After returning to action late after a summer of international duty, the German has yet to fully hit his stride.
The Arsenal fans in the Football Transfer Tavern have put it down to fatigue and a lack of match fitness, but with the Gunners now 5 games into the season – Ozil is running out of time to make things right.
This weekend, the German has a perfect example to return to form and endear himself to the Arsenal faithful – with a crunch clash against Chelsea next in line.
However, ahead of the game – Ozil has suffered a blow, after a day out in central London.
As detailed by the Daily Mail, Ozil received a parking ticket after a stroll in Soho – leaving the Gunner red-faced as he walked back to his car.
A notoriously difficult city to park in, Ozil had reportedly parked across double yellow lines on a visit to the town with several friends – which is against the law in the city.
Whilst out landlord doubts the fine will matter much to the German, he fears that it could affect his mindset ahead of the crunch fixture.
The pressure will be on as Ozil looks to return to form and fire his side to victory at the Emirates Stadium.
