Metro have stunned our punters here in the Football Transfer Tavern as they claim that Arsenal are willing to allow one of their forwards to leave – and for another Premier League club to boot.
Now before anyone goes and gets the top shelf tequila and tweets #Wengerout, it is worth noting that the player in question is Yaya Sanogo and a potential exit would only be on loan to help the Frenchman regain some much needed first team playing time.
Wenger claimed: “It’s a possibility. I would prefer him to go to a Premier League club.
“He is a goal scorer, he’s not frightened and a guy who is naturally aggressive.”
As one of our punters notes, given Arsenal have been linked with Paris Saint-Germain forward Edinson Cavani, it is clear that Sanogo is not really in the immediate plans of the manager.
However, given Wenger wants to loan him out and not sell him, the long-term future looks bright for Sanogo. Then again so did Joel Campbell’s!
Arsenal fans. Would loaning Sanogo out to a Premier League club be the best option like in the case of Carl Jenkinson? Let us know your thoughts below.
