Punters in the Football Transfer Tavern are nodding away at the latest claim coming from Metro.
The publication notes that Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has blasted one of his players, and made it clear that his career at the club could well be over.
Yet again, troubled Gunners forward Nicklas Bendtner found himself in trouble whilst back home in Denmark, drinking when the rest of his team-mates were playing Bayern Munich in the Champions League.
Now it seems that his career will be over before his official departure in the summer.
None of our punters blame Arsene Wenger at all when he claimed: “I don’t know what happened.
“The only thing that is for sure, nobody gave him any permission to go to Copenhagen. He will be fined for that.
“We will see what happens – but his contract is only until the end of the season.”
Our landlord moves over from the packed bar over to the darts board to further the conversation.
He makes the point that not only does this put the player in the bad books with his current club, but it does not exactly make another club want to sign him when his contract with the Gunners finally does expire this summer!
Just who will take on Bendtner in the summer? Would you take him at your club? Let us know your thoughts below.
