Metro have Arsenal fans looking away from their game of darts here in the Football Transfer Tavern and over to our landlord.
He tells the punters about the publications’ claim that Lukas Podolski is on his way out of the club.
The German international forward had been omitted from the matchday squad to face Everton earlier this evening after Juventus made it very clear they considered him a top target for the summer.
As one of our punters notes, it seems that the Serie A side are about to get their man.
The Gunners made it very clear that they were willing to sell Podolski for the right money.
Some of our North London faithful seem to think this might even signal that Arsene Wenger is willing to finally make a solid move for Paris Saint-Germain’s Edinson Cavani who has been heavily linked with a move to the Emirates Stadium in recent months.
We certainly think that if Podolski is sold, another forward is a must for the Gunners if they want to win the Premier League title this season.
Arsenal fans. Do you think that Wenger is right to allow the German to leave or would you have kept him at the club? Let us know your thoughts below.
