Arsenal fans are annoyed in the Football Transfer Tavern as the Daily Star reveal that Joachim Low is urging Lukas Podolski to leave Arsenal in January if he wants to stay in contention for his German international side.
The Germany manager is trying to turn the 29-year-old’s head as he has been out-of-favour at Arsenal since the summer arrivals of Danny Welbeck and Alexis Sanchez.
Low insists that he should consider his next move very carefully as the World Cup winning manager begins to mastermind a squad which is capable to retain their title.
Low said: “It’s in my plans that Podolski will play from the start.
“I’m aware he doesn’t play a lot right now for Arsenal.
“He needs to play competitive games. Sometimes he lacks the physical condition to play the full 90 minutes.
“He has to think about his situation.
“I’m still convinced about his abilities, but he needs high intensity.”
This outburst could remind Arsene Wenger of Podolski’s abilities and put him under to pressure to play him more, which could be a good outcome for all parties.
Arsenal fans. Do you think you should try and keep Podolski at the club or would you try and sell him as he doesn’t seem keen to stay? Let us know your thoughts below.
