Arsenal fans in the Football Transfer Tavern are desperate to see a striker arrive at the Emirates before the transfer window closes.
However, the Daily Mail reckons one forward has asked for a way out of the Emirates Stadium.
Joel Campbell caught the eye last season with some impressive performances in the Champions League with Olympiakos and also at the World Cup with Costa Rica.
His efforts had some Gunners supporters believing he could do a job when called upon this season.
However, the forward is said to have asked Arsene Wenger for permission to join Portuguese giants Benfica on loan.
Arsenal have lost Olivier Giroud until the New Year with a broken leg, however Campbell still finds himself behind young French forward Yaya Sanogo in the pecking order.
However, reports suggest Arsene Wenger is keen to keep hold of the 22-year-old who has so far spent three seasons away from North London on loan.
“We’ve had lots of enquiries and turned them down. There have been plenty of clubs interested, but I don’t know how many,’ said Wenger.
“Once I say to my assistant he won’t go out on loan, even if people ask about him, my assistant doesn’t even tell me. When I say no it’s no.
“He’s definitely a target and a player who is wanted by many clubs.”
