Arsenal fans are looking up surprised here in the Football Transfer Tavern as Metro claim that the Gunners are set to keep forward Lukas Podolski despite rumours to the contrary.
The German forward has been linked with a move away from the Gunners all summer long and after Serie A side Juventus, not to mention Turkish side Galatasaray expressed an interest in the forward, we certainly thought it could be curtains for Podolski at the Emirates Stadium.
That does not look like being the case however as Podolski will now be kept by manager Arsene Wenger who is facing a massive headache over his forwards.
Olivier Giroud is reportedly out for at least three months with important games both domestically and in Europe looming.
As one of our punters notes over a beer and a burger special, we are not too sure that keeping Podolski will be enough and the links with several other forwards seem to be a good thing for the Gunners. Our regular Gooners cannot wait to see another forward join!
Arsenal fans. Do you think that keeping Podolski will be enough to keep a challenge for the title going strong? Let us know your thoughts below.
