David Ospina has featured in both of Arsenal’s opening Champions League games, both of which were losses, and will demand a January exit if he does not feature in the upcoming matches against Bayern Munich; according to the Daily Express.
The 27-year-old wants regular first-team football if he is to stay at the Emirates Stadium, something that Arsene Wenger agreed to after signing Petr Cech over the summer.
However, the former Chelsea man is expected to come into the side in the crucial clash with Bayern Munich next week after Ospina’s howler against Olympiakos let the Gunners staring down the barrel of an early European exit.
If Ospina is dropped, then he will demand a loan exit in the New Year with Besiktas, Getafe, Genoa and Palermo all said to be keen.
Our punters are desperate for Ospina not to leave, as he is crucial to Arsenal’s squad depth and will be called-upon should Cech suffer an injury or suspension at any point this season; as Wojciech Szczesny is with Roma for the year.
Arsenal fans, would letting Ospina leave be a major mistake? Let us know in the comments below.
