Arsenal fans in the Football Transfer Tavern are pleased to hear that Yaya Sanogo is heading out of the club to play first team football after Metro revealed he is choosing Crystal Palace over Hull City.
The 21-year-old is opting for a loan move to Selhurst Park despite the fact the Tigers have also confirmed their interest.
Punters in the tavern are convinced it is due to the fact he wants to stay down south in London.
Sanogo has been previously been linked with French sides Bordeaux and Lorient after struggling to figure in Arsenal’s first team on a consistent basis.
Many thought he would get a chance considering the huge injury list that Arsene Wenger has had to contend with but he is now seemingly behind both Chuba Akpom and Joel Campbell in the attacking pecking order.
Wenger has already made it clear that he wants Sanogo to go out loan in the Premier League rather than abroad in terms of his overall development as a striker.
This initially boosted Steve Bruce’s hopes that he would join Hull with the Tigers boss publicly backing a switch this past week.
“It’s been made clear that the boy might be available on loan and it’s something we’ll have a look at,” Bruce confirmed on Friday.
Arsenal fans. Do you believe Sanogo has a long-term future at the Emirates Stadium or is he one of the worst strikers you’ve seen at the club? Let us know thoughts below.
