Arsenal star WON’T appear in Gunners’ first team until January

ozil.jpgArsenal fans are looking up with frowns on their faces here in the Football Transfer Tavern after Metro claim that Mesut Ozil is set for a further seven weeks on the sidelines.

As our regulars note over a pint, that means that the Gunners virtually have to keep Ozil until at least the summer now with interested parties unlikely to take a punt on a player who will only be back in the first team by January.

The German international midfielder had previously been linked with a January return to Germany after the pressure began to increase on him following a series of lacklustre performances for the North London club despite his standing in the game.

Either way, it is a huge blow for the Gunners and their manager Arsene Wenger who is seeing his injury crisis grow worse by the week this season.

With results now more important than ever, the chance of losing Ozil for even longer will not sit well for Arsenal fans, who of course have seen more and more of their players succumb to their injury as the season progresses.

Arsenal fans. Do you think that Ozil can come back from injury stronger? Are you at least enjoying his social media updates in the meantime? Let us know your thoughts below.
