Arsenal fans in the Transfer Tavern have grown accustomed to Arsene Wenger’s keen eye for talent over the past two decades and, whilst there have been some disappointing captures, the fans are optimistic this target would be a success.
The Daily Mirror says Arsenal are stepping-up their interest in Ajax’s 19-year-old midfielder Riechedly Bazoer, who has earned himself a strong reputation on the continent and is already a full Holland international.
Bazoer is one of the most highly-sought after young players in European football with Chelsea, Tottenham and Barcelona all keeping tabs on the teenager.
However, Arsenal are ready to increase their push for Bazoer this summer as part of their latest transfer policy. After a failed title push, the Gunners are looking for quality young players and a few senior faces to add to their talented squad.
With plenty of changes afoot, Arsenal could make transfers in all positions with midfielders, defenders and a new striker on their shortlist, whilst a new goalkeeper may also arrive if either of David Ospina or Wojciech Szczesny leave north London.
Arsenal fans, would Bazoer strengthen your first team? Let us know in the comments below!
