Salomon Kalou is once again set to be courted by Arsenal according to Metro and punters in the Football Transfer Tavern want to hear more.
As they crowd around the bar to hear more from our landlord, he pours a round of pints and fills us in.
The Lille star has found himself on the radar of Arsene Wenger, who as we know, has expressed an interest in landing the Ivorian forward on more than one occasion.
Kalou himself is keen on a move back to England, where he spent a long time with Chelsea and won every trophy in the domestic game.
The former Feyenoord forward himself was asked about a move in the summer and noted to the BBC: “If I have the chance to go back, I would love to, because it’s the most exciting league in the world so I would like to try it again.
“Whatever team comes for me after the World Cup, I can decide where I can develop as a player, where I can have an impact, because it’s important to go to a team who suit me and who give me the opportunity to excel.”
Wenger is considering a £2 million bid for Kalou and our punters think that extra attacking options cannot be a bad thing.
Would Kalou represent a sound investment for Arsenal or do the Gunners need to be targeting players of a higher profile than an ex-Chelsea cast-off? Let us know your thoughts below.
