This has left the Arsenal fans in the Football Transfer Tavern fearing the worst…
Arsenal have enjoyed a good start to the Premier League thus far, and a dominant 3-0 victory over Chelsea at the weekend has given the Gunners in the Tavern confidence going into the business end of the season.
Granted, it is still early doors – but the signs are good that Arsenal will be able to mount a title challenge this season.
However, life at the top is not without it’s difficulties – and today it was revealed that Arsenal have suffered a blow ahead of their next Premier League clash.
As per Sky Sports News, Arsenal midfielder Francis Coquelin has been ruled out for up to 3 weeks with a knee injury.

The dynamic midfielder has been a lynchpin of the Arsenal midfield in recent weeks, and has been tasked with snuffing out the threatening attacks of the Gunners opposition.
However, on the bright side, the injury, which came as a result of a collision against Chelsea, could have been much worse.
A few of the punters in the Tavern thought it could have resulted in a long-term injury lay-off – and in that context, 3 weeks is a fairly short injury period.
What’s more, our landlord thinks the injury could allow Granit Xhaka to be given the responsibility to find his feet in the Arsenal first team – which could prove crucial this season.
