It’s been a disappointing few months for the Arsenal fans in the Transfer Tavern and the lads playing darts aren’t confident things will improve this evening, with a clash against Barcelona on the cards.
There is some room for optimism heading into the summer though, with Spanish outlet AS stating that the Gunners have tabled a multi-million pound offer to Real Madrid’s World Cup winning midfielder Toni Kroos.
The 26-year-old could well be sacrificed by the Spanish giants this summer amid a major overhaul, with Los Blancos enduring the embarrassment of seeing the La Liga and the Copa Del Rey already out of their reach.
With all the eggs firmly in the Champions League basket, and a massive task ahead of them if they are to win their 11th European crown, the famous club will make wholesale changes this summer- and it could be good news for the leading sides in the Premier League.
Arsenal have benefitted from players surplus to requirements in Spain during the past few years, notably by bringing Mesut Ozil and Alexis Sanchez to the Emirates Stadium, and adding Kroos to their ranks would certainly be a good move.
The Gunners themselves are in need of a midfield overhaul with Mikel Arteta, Tomas Rosicky and Mathieu Flamini all set to leave upon the expiration of their contracts- with our landlord believing Kroos would be an excellent signing.
