A group of Arsenal supporters have arrived in the Football Transfer Tavern still in a buoyant mood after last night’s penalty shoot out victory over West Bromwich Albion in the Capital One Cup.
And now reports from The Express have given them further hope for quality additions in January as the paper suggests that Valencia have made star defender Adil Rami available for sale and that could see him ending up at the Emirates Stadium.
The French international is not happy with the way his current side have started the season and has now spoke out about coach Miroslav Dujukic.
Rami, who began his career in his native France with Frejus and Lille before moving to Spain in 2011, openly criticised his current coach to Spanish radio station Cadena Ser on Tuesday evening, saying: “In the dressing room there is only confusion since we lost [Roberto] Soldado, [Alberto] Costa and [David] Albelda.
“[Coach Miroslav] Djukic doesn’t say things to your face.”
And according to strong reports from Spain, the La Liga outfit have now handed a heavy fine to the 27-year-old and have made him available for transfer. He was even dropped for Valencia’s trip to Granada in La Liga yesterday evening.
Rami looked for a move over the summer, admitting he wanted to play for a “bigger” side but with Los Che holding out for more than £8 million, no firm offers were received.
However they could be willing to let him leave with Premier League sides Arsenal and Manchester City reportedly interested while Barcelona are also known to admirers of the powerful French international centre half.
