But The Mirror are reporting that another attacking player could be coming in through the Emirates Stadium doors with Queens Park Rangers striker Loic Remy launching a come and get me plea to Arsenal.
The Frenchman wants to become Arsenal’s first signing of the summer as he looks for a club to honour his Champions League dreams.
Remy spent last season on-loan at Newcastle United and has a more than fair £10 million buy-out clause having already proved his Premier League class over the past seasons.
Wenger was interested in bringing Remy to the club last summer but off-field problems, including court dates, put the club off.
But now the deal seems to suit both with QPR already accepting that they will be unable to keep old of the France international.
Arsenal fans. In this day and age, £10 million for a player of Remy’s calibre seems fair. But will Wenger take the plunge or do you think he has other targets on his mind? Let us know your thoughts below.
