Arsenal target shock move for 18-goal striker

HernandezArsenal fans in the Transfer Tavern can’t quite believe what they’d read this afternoon, as reports indicate a former Manchester United striker could be on his way to North London.

Don Balon state Arsene Wenger is desperate to add former Red Devils man Javier Hernandez to his squad in January, after the Mexican international’s fantastic form for Bayer Leverkusen.

Hernandez left United in the summer, having never been given a chance by Louis Van Gaal, but has taught his former boss a lesson by hitting 18-goals so far this season- which has not gone unnoticed in the capital.

With Arsenal looking for competition for Olivier Giroud and Theo Walcott, the Gunners will attempt to convince the German side to part ways with Hernandez in the summer as Wenger has made him a priority target.

The Gunners scoffing down their Christmas meals in the corner are surprised by the reports but have indicated they’d be extremely happy with the addition, believing the United boss was mad to let Hernandez go.

Arsenal fans, is Hernandez a decent striking target for your side? Let us know in the comments below!
