Arsenal team news: Key trio potentially set to miss Huddersfield clash

Arsenal will host Huddersfield Town on Saturday at the Emirates Stadium as Unai Emery’s side look to keep the pressure on Tottenham Hotspur and Chelsea.

The Gunners sit level with the Blues on points, just two further back of north London rivals Spurs, and will want to get a victory to try and break into the top four.

However, according to the London Evening Standard, it would appear that Emery has some potentially bad news emerging ahead of the game.

Mesut Ozil is set to be ruled out of the game with the Terriers as he continues to struggle with a back injury, leaving him to be a huge doubt for the game.

The German playmaker, who is valued at £40.5million by Transfermarkt, has missed the last four matches with the problem, and it is understood that he may not be involved with the side as he continues his recovery.

Rob Holding is definitely out and Aaron Ramsey is a concern for the visit, as both were forced off in their midweek draw with Manchester United.

The Verdict:

The injury news about the trio will come as a blow to Emery and Arsenal, especially given the time of year.

Fixtures will start to pick up, with games to come at a lightning rate, and the Gunners will need everyone available to ensure they can keep pace with their two London rivals above them in the table.

The injury that Holding has picked up will likely come as the biggest blow, as the English defender has been rejuvenated by the arrival of the Spaniard and has put in a number of solid appearances in the absence of Laurent Koscielny.
