Arsenal will be chasing their ninth straight win when they return to action against Fulham on Sunday.
The Gunners are coming off the back of a long trip to Azerbaijan following their 3-0 win against Qarabag FK in the Europa League on Thursday.
Now, Unai Emery’s side must undergo a London Derby at Craven Cottage against one of the Premier League’s new boys, who have been able to make a good account of themselves.
The Gunners have been enjoying life under the Spaniard, having not lost a game since their defeat to Chelsea in August and have been quietly creeping up the table.
Emery will be keen to continue that run and could be prepared to make changes to the side that featured in Baku on Thursday.
Henrikh Mkhitaryan is also available after sitting out of the trip to Azerbaijan with political concerns.
Bernd Leno is expected to retain his place in goal as Petr Cech continues to recover from a hamstring injury, whilst Ainsley Maitland-Niles, Laurent Koscielny and Konstantinos Mavropanos all remain on the sidelines.
Arsenal will be feeling confident that they can make it nine wins on the bounce across all competitions against Fulham on Sunday.
The additions of Mkhitaryan and Aubameyang will be a welcome boost to Emery’s side and their chances of getting all three points.
What will have been most pleasing to the Spaniard will have been the fact that they came through their Europa League tie with Qarabag unscathed and still have a large squad to choose from.
