ArtetaArsenal fans in the Transfer Tavern have been preparing for the new year’s eve party at the bar but they’ve still found time to discuss the latest rumours concerning their club, expressing their surprise at one particular report.

The Daily Star says Arsenal will offload veteran midfield trio Mathieu Flamini, Tomas Rosicky and Santi Cazorla as they look to create space within their squad for incoming deal.

Arsenal’s experienced trio are all of of contract in the summer and are not likely to be handed an extension; with Rosicky suffering from a long-term injury problems and Arteta having been offered a coaching role in North London.

A loss of three established players at the Emirates Stadium is a major risk for Arsenal but the trio on the fringes of the first-team, meaning they can be offloaded to make way for higher profile and more useful players.
