According to Metro, Arsenal are apparently set to re-enter the race for Bayer Leverkusen midfielder Lars Bender before the end of next week.
It had appeared that the Gunners had given up any hope of signing the German international midfielder but reports in Germany state the Gunners are planning to make a renewed bid in the coming days.
That follows the initial £15 million offer that was rejected by the Bundesliga outfit earlier in the summer.
Leverkusen are under no pressure to sell their star man but Arsenal believe a bid of £21 million should be enough to convince them to sell.
Bender only signed a contract extension in October 2013 but according to reports, he is ready to leave German football in favour of a move to England.
Arsenal fans. Is Bender worth the renewed interested or are there better players available for a similar fee? Let us know your thoughts below.
