Mainly so they can take note of today’s copy of Metro after they revealed that Arsene Wenger is lining up Toulouse defender Serge Aurier to replace Bacary Sagna.
Sagna is set to leave the club any day now after the club refused to pay him the £100,000-a-week wage he demanded – with Manchester City set to sign the French international.
Aurier made the Ligue 1 team of the year this and has watched numerous times by a host of European clubs.
And it’s that kind of form that has seen him named in the Ivory Coast squad heading to this summers’ World Cup.
According to reports, Wenger will move quickly with his stock set to rise dramatically if he enjoys a good tournament.
The fee involved for one of Ligue 1’s top players is just £7 million and that could be agreed with Toulouse in a matter of weeks with Aurier linking up with his new club later in the summer.
