Arsenal to solve goalkeeping issues with £3m solution?

David OspinaMetro seem to have Arsenal fans looking up from their pints here in the Football Transfer Tavern as they claim Arsene Wenger is about to shell out £3 million.

The Gunners boss is reportedly considering a swoop for Colombian goalkeeper David Ospina who has just been released from Nice, building up a stellar reputation over the last couple of seasons.

Wenger is keen to bring in competition for the number one shirt and provide Wojciech Szczesny with a rivalry to keep him on his toes next season – and of course have someone to play the Capital One Cup games too!

Over a pint, one of our punters notes that Wenger could have made a move for Guillermo Ochoa, the Mexican hero of the World Cup who is a free agent, but has clearly chosen to focus his attentions on landing Colombian international Ospina instead.

Arsenal have just welcomed Chilean superstar Alexis Sanchez to the club and are hoping to tie up a couple more deals in the coming weeks, including one for a keeper and potentially Loic Remy too.

Arsenal fans. Do you think this is the right move for Wenger to be making or would you prefer a move established keeper such as Iker Casillas to come in? Let us know your thoughts below.
