It now seems that the Spaniard will be coming to the Premier League this summer but it’s certainly got the legs to run all the way to the end of the summer.
A host of Premier League clubs are interested in the former Arsenal midfielder but according to The Mirror, Manchester City have found themselves in pole position.
Fabregas is available for £30 million this summer and has already alerted Chelsea, Manchester United and former club Arsenal.
But the midfielder appeals to Manchester City as he would qualify as a homegrown player as he was developed at Arsenal.
But Arsenal still have a trump card in their grasp as they hold onto a sell-on clause that was put into the Spaniard’s contract when he left the club three years ago.
They have first refusal on him should they match any potential offers made by other clubs that the Catalan club deem acceptable.
And the even if the North London club choose not to match any potential offer from another club, they will still receive a huge percentage of any sale.
