Premier League fans were reminded of a Schalke striker’s killer instinct on Wednesday night in the Football Transfer Tavern and Tottenham, Arsenal and Liverpool are all keen on signing him on a free transfer next season.
According to talkSPORT, Klaas-Jan Huntelaar has not ruled out playing in the Premier League and will make a decision over his future after reaching the of his contract at the end of the 2014/15 campaign.
Despite being heavily linked with a list of Premier League clubs, the Dutch international insists that he has not thought about his move yet and will make a decision over his future at the end of the season.
The 31-year-old has played in virtually every top European league other than the Premier League, having had spells at Real Madrid, AC Milan and Ajax.
The former Heerenveen forward struggled with injuries last term but despite that, he still scored 14 goals in 21 appearances for the Gelsenkirchen-based side.
Huntelaar said: “I don’t know where the speculation has come from. I was in Schalke and I heard it. The rumours on August 31 [transfer deadline day] somebody used my name and I don’t know what’s happening.
“It’s [the Premier League] a nice league and you never know what’s happening. My mind is now on Schalke. I have a contract until the end of the season, maybe we’re going to talk someday.”
