Arsenal and Tottenham fans in the Football Transfer Tavern are preparing to lock horns once again this weekend but Metro reveals that they could clash again in the summer as Porto’s Jackson Martinez is open to a move to the Premier League.
The North London clubs have been linked with the powerful Colombian international striker since the World Cup and this coming summer could be the right opportunity for them to snap him up.
He has continued his fine form since his impressive displays in the World Cup, having scored 20 goals in 24 appearances this term.
After being linked with a move to England for a few months now, punters believe he has the right physical attributes to make it in the Premier League.
The 28-year-old has said it has come to the right stage in his career where he needs to move on from the Primeira Liga where the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo, Nemanja Matic and Radamel Falcao have passed through in their respective careers.
“Right now I only focus on doing my job with Porto, but I’m ready to make the leap in the next window,” Martinez said.
“I have my head focused only on the work I’m doing at Porto at the moment and when the transfer window reopens, we shall see what will happen.”
